This tool is specifically built for GNOME Shell. The directory structure being configured for the backend of this project is tailored to modern gnome desktop environment. Specific apps to other environments such as KDE will soon be published, hold tight!
It is purely based on ElectronJS + ReactJS + TailwindCSS + Typescript. Earlier the work was being done with GTK4+ but thanks to endless system errors I ended up coding it with this techstack.
The software has nothing to do with your gtk.css and other shell components. It won't break your ricing and shell. All it does is copying the wallpapers to gnome-backgrounds dir and writing an xml for dynamicity.
Absoulutely yes... the app is being and will be kept alive to be a standalone dynamic wallpaper creator because it is packaged with its own set of dependencies along with sandboxing support that makes it stand against winds of updates and changes.
